It’s no secret that the original LP Claws set a standard for securing percussion accessories and microphones on stage and in the studio. For that reason, we see backline companies and recording facilities around the globe using LP Claws exclusively. This year, LP is proud to introduce a "younger sibling", the LP Small Claw to sneak into those hard to reach places. What’s important to remember is that despite its diminutive size, the LP Small Claw will do the same job at anchoring valuable mics and accessories as its big brother. It will grab to a variety of surfaces and hold with the best of them! The look of the LP Small Claw is a scaled down version of the famous LP Claw. The jet-black body measures 4 inches and will hold tight to standard drum counterhoops, and LP Comfort Curve drum rims. At the same time, it can open wide enough to grip any bass drum wood or metal hoop. We’ve improved the "jaw" gripping assembly, bolstering it with an enhanced rubber surface that will eliminate slippage, scratching, and, important when close miking, cross talk. The new LP Small Claw will lock by means of a swivel eyelet to any standard 3/8" rod. Its reduced size may make it harder to spot in today’s massive miked up drum/percussion set ups, but we have the feeling you’ll be seeing a lot more of the new LP Small Claw. It’s going to be popping up in the most unexpected places!
